Ionic liquids (ILs) integrated polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) is becoming important ingredients of diverse applications such as electro-active polymer actuators, lithium batteries, and high temperature PEM fuel cell. In present study, we explored thermodynamic properties and conductivity of PEMs upon incorporating ILs into block copolymer electrolytes. It has been revealed that the addition of ILs makes significant impact on morphologies of block copolymers. A wide variety of morphologies, i.e, lamellar, hexagonal cylinder, and gyroid, were observed. In particular, the kind of cations is found out to play important of block copolymers. Interesting correlation between morphology and ionic conductivity of IL integrated PEMs was discussed. |
