Controlling surface properties of poly(methyl methacrylate) film using fluorinated copolymers |
초록 |
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) has been widely used in various industrial areas as the commercial thermoplastic. Due to its transparent and good properties, it has been applied in coating technology ranging from automotive industry, electronics to biomedical fields. However, its surface properties often do not meet the demands for the low-surface-energy coatings of substrates such as textiles, membranes, and paper because of its relatively hydrophilic property and high surface energy. In order to overcome this limitation, methacrylate-based copolymers with short fluorinated side group have been synthesized. In this presentation, we will discuss the surface properties (i.e. wettability, composition, morphology) of the fluorinated copolymer films as a function of copolymer ratios, and their applicability as an additive. |
