Synthesis of Fluorinated Acryalte and Characterization of Polymer Waveguide Components for Planar Light Circuits |
초록 |
These days we need high communication technologies for transmit large amounts of information in the information society and the communications market is growing in every year. Steady progress has been made in recent years in the design of materials for application in planar light circuits. Polymer optical waveguide devices will be important in several rapidly developing areas of broadband communications and computing systems because their processibility and integration are more distinguished than inorganic materials. But polymer materials have a problem that is high optical loss (IR-vibration absorption). So they need a structural design to reduce optical absorption loss. We have developed material systems composed of liquid multifunctional fluorinated acrylate monomers that achieve low absorption losses, high thermal stability and controllable refractive index for UV-imprint. |
