제목 Formaldehyde adsorption by acid-treated activated carbon
초록 As environmental regulations have been strengthened recently, research on the removably volatile organic compunds(VOCs) has been actively carried. Beads activated carbon(BAC), a porous adsorbent, was newly applied to remove VOCs in this study. However, emission including VOCs essentially contain moisture. Therefore, it hinders the adsorption capacity of BAC. This study aims to confirm Formaldehyde(FA) adsorption performance in a humid condition through acid-treated activated carbon. FA adsorption performance and its behaviors in humid conditions have been studied with the acid modification of the surface on activated carbon. The characteristics of adsorption behavior were also confirmed by BET, Raman and XPS.
