제목 Non-dewettingSurface-modified PTFE Membrane Using Poly (vinyl alcohol) Cross-linked withGlutaraldehyde​
초록 Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) is widely used in various fields due to its unique properties such ashigh chemical resistance and thermal stability. However, the PTFE membrane hasthe disadvantage of being difficult to apply to water treatment and prone tofouling due to its hydrophobicity. In this study, poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA)coated PTFE membranes was cross-linked with glutaraldehyde (GA) to modified surfacehydrophilicity of the membranes. PVA of various concentrations and differentcross-linking times were adopted to control cross-linking density which canaffect on surface hydrophilic degree. As prepared membranes showed varioussurface characteristics such as fully hydrophilized to non-dewetting indicatinghigh potential for water treatment use without alcohol pre-wetting.​
