Controlled release of TAT-HSP27 from PLGA microsphere-encapsulated alginate gels for treatment of myocardial infarction |
초록 |
Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in recent days, and appropriate delivery of heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) is one promising approach for treatment of myocardial infarction, as HSP27 is known to recover cell viability by inhibiting apoptotic activation of caspase-9 and caspase-3. In this study, a fusion protein with protein transduction domain (e.g., TAT-HSP27) was prepared, and its in vitro release was controlled for two weeks by using alginate gels and PLGA microsphere. The released TAT-HSP27 was also bioactive to recover viability of cells cultured under hypoxia condition. |
