Intercellular lipids perform an essential function of protecting the body from the surrounding environment and preventing the skin from transepidermal water loss. However, these ingredients have high crystallinity and characteristic structures. Thus, intercellular lipids have been stabilized in the form of liposome or nanoemulsion by energy consuming process. It is conventionally required for the high energy to prepare nanoemulsion due to high mechanical force. This work presents a new method to prepare nano-emulsions without additional instruments such as microfludizer and high-pressure homogenizer. This simple process would be helpful to stabilize hydrophobic ingredients which are hard to solubilize with conventional solubilization method as well as to save cost, time and energy. |
