Glucose is a type of sugar found in the blood. Glucose represents a major fuel source of metabolic energy. During exercise, the increase in glucose uptake from the circulation provides fuel to meet the energy demand of contracting muscle. This study is to assess the effect of capsule of glucose+MCT(Medium Chain Trigylcerides) using HPMCP(Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Phthalate) on absorption into blood, in vitro permeation. Glucose capsules were prepared by using HPMCP and putting in pH 2.5 and pH 5.5 solution. After incubate in 36.5℃, these were observed at the fixed time. The glucose capsules were resistant to dissolution in pH 2.5 solution but dissolved in pH 5.5 solution. The release profile of glucose from pH 2.5 solution showed no significant enhancing effect, while pH 5.5 solution resulted in a enhancing effect. Further studies using in vivo would prove the usefulness of this glucose capsule. |
