제목 pH and temperature responding hydrogel microfiber prepared using microchannel devices
초록 In this work, we fabricated the stimuli-responsive hydrogel microfibers and microtubes by using the microchannel devices. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm) based microfibers were prepared with the controlled shapes and sizes by the in situ photo-polymerization of aqueous monomers loaded in calcium alginate templates generated from the microchannel device. Additional incorporations of the amine or the acid functional groups in the hydrogel matrix induce the volume change of the hydrogel microfiber in response to the pH change due to the protonation or deprotonation of the functional groups.
