제목 Cell performance of PVDF/SPEEK composite membrane for DMFC
초록 Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) have been considered for use in very small to mid-sized applications due to their high energy density, small volume and low toxic emissions. Nafion is very suitable for hydrogen fuel cells, they are not suitable for DMFC applications due to their very high cost, loss of conductivity at high temperature and high methanol and water permeability. In recent work we have been shown that SPEEK is very promising for fuel cell applications as it possess a good thermal stability, mechanical strength and adequate conductivity. The PVDF/SPEEK membrane exhibit better performances in DMFC than that of SPEEK membrane at 2M methanol due to low methanol permeability.
