Polymethymethaacrylate (PMMA) has been used in many medical applications including contact lenses, bone cement and dental impression materials. The oxyfluorinated PMMA is reported to have better biocompatibility compared to bare PMMA polymer. Moreover, the oxyfluorination of polymer leads to increase in the surface energy (wetting/hydrophilic surface). In this study, oxyfluorination of PMMA with different mixing ratio of fluorine, oxygen and argon gas was run to improve hydrophilic property of PMMA film. The oxyfluorinated PMMA films were performed contact angle, SEM, and XPS. |
