제목 The Synthesis and Characterization of the Dimeric Triphenylmethane Highly stable Blue Dyes for High-speed Inkjet Printing
초록 Three water soluble dimeric-triphenylmethane (SD-TPM) acid dyes were designed and synthesized in order to manufacture the water-based inks for the high-speed ink-jet printing process, including digital textile printing (DTP). Geometrically optimized structure of earlier synthesized D-TPM series was calculated by the DFT theory using G16 package, geometrical information between the moieties constituting the dyes was studied. Because of its highly twisted chemical structure and hydrophilic substituents, SD-TPM dye series showed the efficiently enhanced water solubility when formulated into the water based inks. Since the DTP inks are printed with fine dots, a wider range of primary colors are required to widen the expression range of the printed pattern or image. Therefore, in this study we designed and synthesized novel high-saturation deep blue color acid dyes to increase the expressive power of DTP ink.
