제목 | Effects of Azobenzene as Lithiation Layer on Organic Redox TransistorBased Neuromorphic Computing |
초록 | Neuromorphic devices based on organicsemiconductors typically show lower performance in stability, linearity, and long-termpotentiation(LTP) compared to silicon-based ones. So, they have limitations inovercoming disadvantages of von Neumann computing. In this study, we achieved ahigh charge retention by combining organic battery materials with either OFET orOECT platform. To utilize the lithiation according to the redox potential ofazobenzene used as an organic battery electrode, the organic redox transistorusing Li+ and azobenzene-based ion gel as an electrolyte wasfabricated. Without azobenzene, as TFSI- of the electrolyte layerpenetrated into the active layer by the presynaptic pulse, the electricalneutrality collapsed. With azobenzene, however, it could be maintained throughthe aforementioned mechanism, thereby we could achieve a LTP reinforcement.Consequently, it was possible to enhance synaptic properties and achieve higherstability and linearity. |
