Adding of polymer to crystallization affects crystal with increasing the biological availability of drugs and manipulating various properties. The dissolved polymer interacts and is adsorbed on the surface of nuclei to stabilize, and these crystals produces composite crystals. This study aims to prepare composite crystals of two drugs. The crystal morphology of the two drugs were examined by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), which showed two types of crystals. The melting point measurement by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) showed an interaction between the drug and the polymer. X-ray diffraction (XRD) shows that the crystalline form changes when a polymer is added, and the drug shows an amorphous type. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance(H-NMR) identified the composition ratio deposited when crystallization was performed at various ratios. This preparation method of composite crystals could offer an opportunity to produce complex formulations. |
