Despite metal materials have potential for various applications, the metal materials have a problem of low affinity with organic solvents. To overcome this problem, we introduced the metal ion into methacrylic monomer. The monomer containing a metal ion can be easily produced by a substitution reaction. We used 1, 5 cycloocatadiene (COD) for complex between the organic monomer and the metallic ions. Due to a special structure of the COD, it makes stable complex of the organic material and the metallic ions. In addition, it is possible to synthesize metal containing polymers with improved solubility in various solvents. In the previous reports, the copper chloride was used to prepare the copolymers containing Cu ion. Based on the previous report, Ag or Sn which have similar orbital structures with copper were selected as the metal ion. Prepared metal containing composites can be applied in various application fields. |
