Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) are an attractive portable power source because of their high energy density, an easy fuel handling, and a low operating temperature. Electrochemical preparation methods have some advantages such as high purity of deposits, simple process for deposition, easy control of the loading mass. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of electrochemical condition on the catalytic activities of the carbon-supported metallic nanoclusters. By changing the condition of electrochemical reduction of Pt or Ru, the size and the loading level of catalysts were controlled. |
