To simultaneous removal of sulfur compounds, such as methyl mercaptan and ethyl mercaptan from C4 gases in FCC process, the activated carbon (AC)-based adsorbents impregnated various metal oxides were tested in micro reactor at 1 atm at 30oC. AC-based adsorbents impregnated various metal oxides showed a good ability better than AC adsorbents. Especially, the KAC adsorbent (AC-based sorbent with K2CO3) showed a good ability to removal sulfur compounds better than other metal adsorbents. Also the sulfur removal ability was affected by the loading weight of additive metals. The sulfur removal abilities of various AC-based sorbents were discussed with the analysis results. |
