제목 Phase Behavior of Binary Blend of PS-b-(P4VP)2 and PS-b-(PHS)2 Miktoarm Star Copolymers
초록 The binary blend of block copolymers containing poly(4-vinylpyridine) and poly(hydroxystyrene) forms hydrogen bonding between the blocks, and could show unexpected microdomains that cannot be obtained in neat block copolymer. In this study, we prepared the binary blend of asymmetric polystyrene-block-[poly(4-vinylpyridine)]2 (as-PS-b-P4VP2) and polystyrene-block-[poly(hydroxylstyrene)]2 (as-PS-b-PHS2) miktoarm star copolymer . Both block copolymers were synthesized by combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization with a trifunctional initiator. The blends showed cylindrical microdomains due to the interface curvature change by both favorable hydrogen bonding between P4VP and PHS blocks and miktoarm structure.
