제목 Oxo-palladium Silica Nanoparticle Catalyst for Direct N-Alkylating  Transformation of Anilines to Imines
초록 The transformation of aniline to imine is carried out with PdO@SNP catalyst which is a combination of oxidized Pd and Silica nanoparticle prepared through ultrasonication. This catalyst is highly selective and active than unsupported Pd. The reaction conditions were optimized by checking various catalysts and solvents. Among these PdO@SNP worked well in toluene solvent at 100℃. Gas Chromatography was used to analyze the activity of the sample. The catalyst was characterized by using SEM, TEM, EDS and XRD analysis techniques to confirm the particle size and surface morphology. At first aniline reacts with benzylalcohol to form aldehyde which is then catalyzed by PdO@SNP to produce imines. Imines are important in various chemical applications. Particularly, PdO@SNP catalyst N-alkylation in one reactor(one-pot) is a stable reaction that reduces the amount of chemical waste.
