Nuclear Medicine: Radioimmunotherapy, Imaging and Several Techniques to Increase Tumor Penetration |

Nuclear medicine got spotlighted again since the molecular imaging has become one of the most important technique to locate any disease specifically at the molecular level and the nanomedicine has actively been studied to deliver an effective drug into the cell and tissue. Together with them, radiolabeled monoclonal antibody (mAb) has been widely applied to both diagnosis and therapy of human cancer and still regarded as an encouraging and promising approach. Here, nuclear medicine is introduced briefly, and radiolabeled monoclonal antibody for the cancer therapy and imaging and the several advanced techniques to enhance the efficiency of tumor penetration and therapeutic effect are presented. |
