제목 Aligned and Three Dimensionally Interconnected Porous Structures of Poly(dimethylsiloxane) as Oil Absorbent  Materials
초록 The cleanup of accidental oil spills has inspired research attention to prevent our environmental pollution in the oil production and transportation industry. Herein we fabricated a simple template method and prepared robust superhydrophobic/superoleophilic PDMS sponge by employing mannitol template. Directional melt crystallization technique was engaged to prepare aligned pores of mannitol template. The PDMS sponge was resulted in direct curing of PDMS precursors in template and followed by etching of mannitol part in water. The morphology of aligned pores in PDMS sponge were reflects the pores of temples, which confirms from the optical microscopy. When compared oil separation with pure PDMS, aligned and porous PDMS sponge has much faster oil (less than 2 sec) absorption from oil/water mixture. Also the aligned pores creates residual stress within sponge, which causes bending characteristic during the oil absorption.
