제목 Synthesis of Amphiphilic, Light-Emitting, Conjugated Block Copolymers Containing a Conjugated Oligofluorene Rod Segment by Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization
초록 Well-defined amphiphilic triblock copolymers (PEGMA-b-PF-b-PEGMA and PHEMA-b-PF-b-PHEMA) containing a rod-like polyfluorene (PF) and coil-like poly[oligo(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate] (PEGMA)s or poly(hydroxy ethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) were successfully synthesized through atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) initialized by a 2-bromoisobutyrate end-capped polyfluorene macroinitiator using CuBr/ N,N,N’,N’,N’’-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) catalyst system. PEGMAs, containing various lengths of oligo(ethylene glycol) repeating units (DPOEG = 5, 8, 23, number average molecular weight, Mn = 300, 475, 1100 g/mol) were used as end blocks. 1H NMR and GPC were used to confirm the molecular weight and structure of these triblock copolymers. We also investigated the UV absorption and photoluminescence of PEGMA-b-PF-b-PEGMA and PHEMA-b-PF-b-PHEMA both in solid state and selective solvents.
