Flexible and Transparent Vertical ZnO Nanowires/Graphene Hybrids for Field Emission |

We present vertically aligned ZnO NWs grown on reduced graphene oxide/PDMS substrate for transparent and flexible optoelectronic material. Large area of reduced graphene oxide film on PDMS substrate is facilitated by aqueous graphene oxide dispersion which is made by chemical exfoliation of natural graphite and subsequent thermal reduction. ZnO NWs were hydrothermally grown on the reduced graphene oxide film substrate and maintained their structural uniformity even in highly deformed states. Electric force microscopy(EFM) is employed for straightforward measuring of the electrical contact between semiconducting ZnO NWs and a metallic graphene film. Result shows a typical metal-semiconductor ohmic contact without a contact barrier. The ZnO NWs/reduced graphene oxide hybrids show excellent field emission properties due to the mechanical flexibility, transparency, and low contact barrier. |
