In this study, the newly synthesized tris(4-(1-phenyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole)phenyl)phosphine oxide (TIPO) small molecule is used as n-type interlayer in perovskite solar cells for effective electron transport and improved stability. This small molecule material contains phenyl benzimidazole functional groups, which are combined with the phosphine oxide core, contributing to charge extraction and improved stability. In particular, TIPO improves charge transport because phosphine oxide and benzimidazole have strong polarity and π- electrons, and suppresses the resistance of the device by passivating it based on a smooth surface morphology. In addition, the TIPO interlayer enhances the stability of the device by capturing I- ions to form a protective layer. This electron extraction and electrical resistance analysis was verified by space charge limiting current, impedance, and surface morphology by atomic force microscopy analysis. |
