Fabrication and characterization of novel hydrogel scaffold of Oxidized alginate, gelatin and blood serum loaded with BCP particles for bone tissue regeneration |

In this work, oxidized alginate, gelatin and blood serum based novel hydrogel system that loaded with BCP particle was fabricated with various ratio maintaining the gradual increasing amount of blood serum (0%, 5%, 10% and 15%) which in turn focus to the characterization of the system that lead to the optimum composition. Here oxidized alginate had resulted in situ cross linking with blood serum collected from rat and gelatin. Fabricated samples were undergone scanning electron microscopy (SEM), porosity meter, XRD, compressive strength, FTIR and NMR investigation to observe the structure, surface morphology, mechanical strength and degradation. In vitro work was composed of cell attachment, cell viability, cell proliferation and cell differentiation. Loading of blood serum of 5% had shown significant up rise over the in vitro result. |
