The effect of Poly(vinyl alcohol)/clay Nanocomposites based hybrid Organic/Inorganic films as gas barrier film |
초록 |
The purpose of packaging is to protect the product from the outside environment, such as the effects of gases, water(vapor), odors, micro-organisms, dust and etc. Among these effects, the oxygen gas and water vapor gas are the most important factors. These effect has an adverse effect on food packaging such as deterioration and oxidation of the packaged food. In this study, the PVA modified silica materials with various functional groups and different methods for synthesizing used to decrease the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and the oxygen transmission rate (OTR). Each modified PVA polymer has chemical structure that can be cured with the polymer matrix. The cured polymer has a part to reduce the free volume between the polymer matrix. It prevents the gas passing into the barrier film. The modified coating layer was prepared to reduce the oxygen affinity and the water affinity by interactions and cross-linking between silica group. |
