A monosized hydrogel microparticle fabrication method using a microfluidic synthetic device has been presented in this study. Microsized droplets of poly(ethylene glycol) methylether acrylate (PEGMEA) containing 2% photoinitiator, 2-hydroxy-2-methylpropiophenone, were formed in mineral oil matrix on a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic device. Then the prepared droplets were irradiated by UV for 5 sec to produce monosized hydrogel microparticles, approximately 100~300 m in a diameter, on the microfluidic device. |
