Vapor-deposited all inorganic perovskite light emitters with performance enhancing PEO layer |

Solution-processed all inorganic halide perovskites have drawn attention to next-generation materials for light-emitting diodes (LED) due to high color purity (FWHM < 20nm) and facile processability. However, vacuum based-processed halide perovskite LEDs have been less reported compared to solution processing while it has powerful advantage in terms of mass production and fine controlled thickness. Here, we prepare highly luminescent CsPbBr3 light emitters via vacuum evaporation method by introducing poly-ethylene oxide (PEO) layer underneath the emitting layer. The stoichiometry is carefully controlled by the evaporation rate of CsBr and PbBr2, which are co-deposited on the spin-coated PEO layer. As CsBr to PbBr2 ratio increases, Cs4PbBr6 phase appears in CsPbBr3 matrix resulting in higher PL intensity. Photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) increases up to 30% in the presence of PEO layer. Also, PEO-assisted perovskite light emitter shows excellent stability under ambient conditions. Details of the results and analysis will be discussed. |
