제목 Discovery of spore-binding peptides using phage display for detection of allergenic fungi.
초록 Rapid, specific and sensitive detection of airborne fungal spores is an important goal for public health because they often cause allergy, rhinitis, and asthma. Herein, we study spore-binding peptides to detect Aspergillus niger (A. niger) spore, a type of allergenic fungus. Five additional candidate clones were identified, using a M13 phage-display 12-mer random peptide library. Previous and newly identified peptides that bind to A. niger spore were synthesized via solid phase peptide synthesis and biotinylated with the cysteine terminal groups on peptide ligand. Next, we performed flow cytometry assay to compare the binding affinity of six identified peptides to A. niger spore. These additional peptides extended A. niger spore-binding peptide pools and could be applied user-friendly and rapid sensor system for allergenic fungus detection.
