Microwave is a powerful tool in performing various organic reactions efficiently. In our previous work, polymer-supported electron-rich oxime palladacycles, as a heterogeneous catalyst, were prepared to provide efficient C-C coupling reactions and reusability for green process. Microwave was applied to the polymer-supported oxime palladacycle for water-based Suzuki coupling reaction. With the help of the phase transfer catalyst, tetra-n-butylammonium bromide, the reaction was well-proceeded under aqueous conditions, and the reaction time was reduced. Overall in this study, Suzuki coupling reaction of aryl/heterocyclic halides with phenylboronic acid was successfully performed in water using the polymer-supported electron-rich oxime palladacyles, utilizing the microwave system. |
