Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(N-phenyl maleimide) and its application for nanopatterning |
초록 |
Anionic polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide (N-PMI) was carried out in the mixture of benzene/THF/DMSO at room temperature using polymeric alkoxide as an initiator. The polymeric alkoxide was obtained from n-butyllithium-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide (EO) in the presence of potassium tert-butoxide in the mixture of benzene/DMSO at 35℃. It was found that organolithium-initated polymerization of N-PMI in THF produced both the THF-insoluble poly(N-PMI) fraction and the THF-soluble fraction. The insoluble fraction had to arise from a different stereoregular architecture of the formed polymer. In this respect, block copolymer containing the insoluble poly(N-PMI) may be a useful material to make nanopatterned structure are polymeric template. The N-PMI fragment was deimidized in DMF or DMSO at 90℃ using hydrazine monohydrate. The results for these experiments will be presented in this study |
