Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(N-phenyl maleimide) and its application for drug delivery system |
초록 |
A variety of polymerizations of N-phenylmaleimide(N-PMI) via several mechanisms have been reported by several groups. Especially, anionic polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide (N-PMI) was carried out in the mixture of benzene/THF/DMSO at room temperature using polymeric alkoxide as an initiator. The polymeric alkoxide was obtained from n-butyllithium-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide (EO) in the presence of potassium tert-butoxide in the mixture of benzene/DMSO at 35℃. Some fraction of the poly(N-PMI) fragment was reported to be soluble in tetrahydrofuran (THF), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), dimethylformamide (DMF), and dichloromethane depending on the isomeric structure. The THF-soluble N-PMI fragment was deimidized in DMF or DMSO at 120℃ using hydrazine monohydrate. The results for these experiments will be presented in this study |
