Synthesis of Poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(maleic hydrazide-g-folate) Bearing Acid-dependent Linkage and its Application for the Synthesis of Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticle |
초록 |
We have successfully synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(N-phenyl maleimide) via anionic polymerization using n-butullithium and potassium t-butoxide as initiators in the mixture of THF/Benzene/DMSO at 35oC. The resulting product was found to be deimidated in DMSO at 120oC for 24h at the acidic condition using hydrazide monohydrate leading to the production of poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(maleic hydrazide). The resulting PEO-b-PMAHz reacted with folic acid under the neutral condition to get PEO-b-P(MAHz-g-folate). The resulting copolymers retained the acid-responsive folate-releasing nature. In addition, it was found to be the effective polymer stabilizer to prepare superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles using the Fe (II) and Fe (III) chloride at the basic condition to get nanoparticles.
