Synthesis and characterization of the reduced graphene oxide nano sheet |

The graphene oxide is of great interest nanocarrier in applications of drug delivery and controlled release. We synthesized bovine serum albumin (BSA)- functionalized reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nano sheet for the photo-thermal tumor therapy. We characterized the size distribution of BSA-rGO nano sheet, indicating that the size of GO and rGO was 200 nm and 150 nm, respectively. Raman spectroscopy and ultraviolet (UV)-visible spectrophotometer were performed to confirm the reduction of GO nano sheet and drug loading efficiency. Furthermore, we analyzed the effect of BSA-rGO nano sheet on near-infrared (NIR) laser-induced photo-thermal therapy. Therefore, this BSA-rGO nano sheet could be a powerful tool for tumor diagnosis and photo-thermal therapy applications. |
