Bi Quantum Dots Decorated CdS Nanorods for Visible Photcatalytic H2 Evolution Reaction |
초록 |
Photocatalytic H2 evolution represents the one of the most promising method to produce clean energy and is alternative to the fossil fuels. CdS with a bandgap of 2.4 eV is considered as excellent visible light photocatalyst for H2 evolution reaction. But the practical applications of CdS is limited by poor charge separation and photocorrosion processes. Therefore, in the current work, Bi quantum dots decorated CdS nanorods were designed to enhance the photocatalytic H2 evolution activity. The heterojunction formed between the Bi and CdS could enable the efficent separation of photoexcited charge carriers and thereby improves the photocatalytic H2 evolution reaction. |
