제목 Auxetic Photonic Patterns with Ultrasensitive Mechanochromism
초록 Previousnon-destructive tests used to diagnose material damage can only be measuredunder conditions supplied with external power and only experts can confirm.Herein, showed a film that could intuitively diagnose the life of the materialin real-time and determine the distribution of stress and stimulation and theprogress of damage using an auxetic surface and an elastic photonic crystal. Inthe auxetic surface with hierarchically cut hinges, the cut region contributingto expansion is composed of elastic colloidal photonic crystals with lowelastic modulus, and the skeleton part, which hardly deforms, has a relativelylarge elastic modulus and uses a polymer material capable of torsionaldeformation. Even at a small overall strain, the local strain in the elasticphotonic crystal region was maximized. These sensors can be applied toinfrastructure including bridges, roads, and port facilities, as well asexterior and structural materials such as old buildings.
