제목 Shape control of the platinum deposited on graphene oxide using microwave-assisted polyol synthesis method
초록 A proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is one of the potential candidates to alter the fossil-fueled power sources. However, the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of the commercial carbon-supported platinum catalyst limits commercialization. A number of research groups have been conducted on the effect of morphology of the platinum nanoparticle on the ORR activities due to different binding strengths between the platinum surfaces and adsorbates. In this paper, we investigated the platinum deposited on graphene oxide with different platinum morphologies by employing the microwave-assisted polyol synthesis without using surfactants. The morphology of the platinum nanoparticle was varied with different solvents. Subsequently, the cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry were characterized to examine their morphological impact on the electro-catalytic performances by using the three-electrode system consisting of glassy carbon rotating disk electrode.
