Polylactides (poly D-lactide and poly L-lactide) are biodegradable and renewable resources. But homopolymer polylactide has a limitation. Under the heat processing, The streocomplex has loss of their properties. Stereocomplex polylactide (s-PLA) has been known as one of the choices to enhance the properties of homopolymer polylactide. Streocomplexation using CO2 has higher melting point than Homopolymer. Above the critical point, Because Carbon dioxide has both advantages of the liquid and gaseous phase. Objective of this study is Development of highly strengthened biodegradable bone plate/screw using supercritical fluid technology Stereocomplex PLA(S-PLA). By adding flexible unit(ε-caprolactone), Mobillity of s-PLA is increase. This Development of material for boneplate/screw, Maintaining strength and can be degraded in Vivo. Attempts to solve the problem of streocomplex. These technologies can be utilized for medical application. |
