제목 Multi-step sizing treated carbon fibers and their composites
초록 In this work, carbon fibers were sized by two steps to obtain highly enhanced interfacial shear strength; (1) silane coupling agent and (2) polyamide 6(PA6). The treated carbon fiber was characterized by field emission-scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The mechanical interfacial shear strength of the CF/PA6 matrix composites was investigated using a micro-bond method. As a result, PA6/silane sizing was successfully introduced on the carbon fiber surface, and interfacial adhesion of the composites was also significantly improved.
