This study aims to investigate the fast curing effect of epoxy composites with introducing amine-modified ammonium polyphosphate (APP). In this work, we mainly observed the curing behavior of epoxy composites using isoconversional method depending on the amine modification of APP. Isoconversional methods interpret the curing kinetic using several single-stage equations. The activation energy was given as a function of conversion without any specific form of the reaction model. Therefore, we analyzed the curing behavior using Friedman method, which is one of the isoconverisonal methods. We found that the amine modification of APP promoted the reaction rate of the curing reaction of epoxy resin. The activation energy was decreased commensurate to the ratio of amine-modified APP in the epoxy composites. Furthermore, we observed the mechanical properties of epoxy composites. |
