제목 Dependence of Dielectric Properties on the MgO content of MgO/Semi-Crystalline Polymer composites at Microwave Frequencies
초록  The effects of MgO content on the microwave dielectric properties of MgO/ semi-crystalline polymers (polypropylene(PP) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)) composites were investigated. Composites of MgO filler with volume fraction 0.1 to 0.5 dispersed on two polymer matrices were prepared by the hot-molding technique. MgO powders were calcined at 950◦C for 4 h, and heat-treated again at 1440◦C for 4 h and then milled for 24 h. The crystallinity of the composites was controlled by the different cooling rates and/or annealing conditions. The dielectric constant(K) and dielectric loss(tanδ) of the composites were dependent on the MgO content and crystallinity of composites. With increasing MgO content, K of the composites increased due to the higher K of MgO(9.61) than those of PP(3.05) and PTFE(2.02). For the prediction of effective K of the composite, several theoretical models were employed and the predicted values were compared with experimental data.
