Azapropellanes are new strained molecular structure that recently reported by our group. They are promising building blocks to synthesize highly strained molecular explosives which calculated to exceed the explosive performance of well-known high explosives such as Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) and Octanitrocubane (ONC). We have recently published the synthetic route and nitration of several novel pentaaza[3.3.3]propellanes. In this presentation, we will report the nitration study of some hexaaza[3.3.3]propellanes and their characterization results. |
