제목 An improved synthetic procedure for the unsubstitued pentaazatetraoxotricycloundecane skeleton
초록 We have studied the synthesis of pentaazatetraoxotricycloundecane (PATOTU) as a basic molecular skeleton for novel high explosive materials because the propellane structure would have high potential energy owing to the symmetric and strained structure but be quite stable. We have previously reported for the first time the successful synthesis of the unsubstituted PAPOTU skeleton. Herein, we present a simple and improved procedure for the unsubstitued PATOTU skeleton. In addition, more readily available diethyl tartrate was used as a starting material instead of expensive dihydroxyfumaricacid. An X-ray analysis result of the target compound will be also shown.
