Kinetics study of hard and soft polyurethane |

The compounds and pyrolysis kinetics of hard and soft polyurethane have been studied by pyrolysis GC/MS and thermogravimetric analysis. Hard polyurethane comprises five kinds of low molecular weight organic products, and soft polyurethane contains eleven kinds at least. The initial temperature of the main decomposition range of hard polyurethane is earlier than that of soft polyurethane. A consecutive kinetic model for pyrolysis of polyurethanes simulated the experiment curves comfortably. By this kinetic model kinetic parameters were determined. Soft polyurethane’s average active energy is almost 1.67 times more than hard polyurethane’s. |
