제목 | Synthesisand Characterization of Fluorine-Functionalized Biodegradable Polyesters |
초록 | Poly(lactide-co-caprolactone) (PLCL) is a synthetic biodegradable and biocompatible polyester, which exhibits various properties dependent on composition of lactide and ε-caprolactone. Many researchers have been interested in using these polymers for the replacement of disposable plastics. However, they have showed the inevitable limitations such as easy contamination and higher water absorption of the polymers. Therefore, this presentation suggests PLCL derivatives with fluorine-functional groups because the fluorine functional group can lower surface tension of the polymer leading to higher water- and oil-repellency. Their biodegradability and biocompatibility as well as the wettability are intensively studied for promoting their wide applications in practical areas. |
