The controllable integration of well-designed components with distinct functions into nanohybrid materials is of considerable importance in diverse applications, e.g., catalysis, biotechnology, and biomedicine. Herein, selectively coated Janus particles based upon polystyrene-poly(vinyl acetate) copolymers (PS-co-PVAc), PS-co-PVAc@Pd, PS-co-PVAc@Fe3O4, PS-co-PVAc@SiO2 core-shell nanohybrids are reported. The patching of SiO2 NPs and Fe3O4@SiO2 NPs onto one side of Janus particles gives amphiphilicity to the nanohybrids. These PS-co-PVAc-based materials with distinct functionalities are expected to be applied for phase-controllable catalysis. |
