Sulfur containing bifunctional alkoxy silane (bis (triethoxysilyl propyl) disulfide (TESPD)) on natural rubber (NR) is investigated. The effects of TESPD into NR/silica and NR/silicone rubber (SR)/silica compound are investigated upon viscoelasticity, mechanical and thermal property. The NR/SR compound shows higher tan values, higher mechanical and thermal properties than the NR one under sulfur curing system. The NR/SR compound shows higher modulus, elongation at break and hardness than the NR one. The thermal stability of the NR/SR compound is better than that of the NR compound |
