제목 Synthesis of silica nanoparticles grafted with zwitterionic polymer nanoshells for application to nanofluids
초록 Recently, there are growing interests in synthesis of “smart nanofluids”, since they can change flow properties in complex fluids. A good example is to use nanofluids in field of enhance oil recovery, since they are able to dramatically reduce surface tension at an oil boundary. This is essential for enhancing oil recovery efficiency. In order to develop an advanced nanofluid system, in this study, we synthesize silica nanoparticles chemically grafted with a zwitterionic polymer nanoshell. Then we demonstrate their improved performance in flow media, which is quite comparable to the nanofluid containing nanoparticles with conventional ionic polymer nanoshells.
