제목 Fabrication and Evaluation of Anti-oxidant agent-encapsulated Chitosan Microsphere for enhanced bioavailability and Protection of Reactive Oxygen species
초록 Free radicals have been caused to many diseases and aging in human life-span. To solve these problems, a natural anti-oxidant (NAO) used for the removal of free radical has a potential such as immune effect, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxide, anti-cancer effective and low toxic. However, NAO has a problem of very a low bioavailability in body. To overcome these obstacle, we developed to NAO-encapsulated chitosan microsphere (AECM) by using spray dry method. Its chemical structure was analyzed by 1H-NMR and FT-IR. In addition, encapsulation of NAO from AECM was confirmed by UV-vis spectrophotometer. Moreover, morphological property of AECM was analyzed by SEM, which had a spherical shape. In addition, particle size of AECM was confirmed to 2 ~ 5 ㎛. Moreover, its cytotoxicity was accomplished by MTT assay. These results suggest that AECM can effectively remove to free radical with low toxicity and increased bioavailability.
