Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide)-based both pH and glucose-sensitive tri-block copolymer |
초록 |
Water-soluble block copolymer exhibiting glucose-sensitive phase behavior using poly(ethylene oxide)-based RAFT agent and vinyl type monomer containing boronic acid group via RAFT radical polymerization were synthesized. First, ω-brominated PEO was synthesized by n-butyllithium-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide with t-BuOK in the mixture of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and benzene like a living manner at 40℃. PEO-based macroinitiator was synthesized by chain-end functionalization of polymeric alkoxide using 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide under the high vacuum. The ω-brominated macroinitiator was converted to RAFT agent. A glucose-responsive copolymer was prepared by RAFT polymerization of m-(methacryloylamido) phenyl boronic acid in DMF at 80℃ for 48 hours. In this presentation, we will report the preliminary results for the synthesis of tri-block copolymer. |
